Inspired by old-school hot-rodders at Bonneville, a small independent bike builder made his own frame and modified his old Zephyr just so he could see how fast he could go on one of his own creations. (Spoiler - modded Ford Capri sighting as well.)

I have boundless admiration for people like him, and equal envy. As a cyclist I would LOVE to be able to have a run on a bike like that. Especially if I was the one who built the bike. Thank you very much for posting this, it was a great story... Now I'm going to go drop 700$ a new crankset from Royce.
